FIRST-TIMER GUIDE
What to Expect at Your First Paint and Sip

If you have never been to a paint-and-sip, the most important thing to know is that you are not expected to know how to paint.
You do not need experience
The instructor breaks the painting into approachable steps. Your version does not need to look exactly like the sample.
What should you bring?
For a BYOB class, bring whatever you would like to sip along with any snacks permitted by the venue. Painting supplies are typically provided.
What happens during class?
You will get settled, meet the instructor, see the reference painting, and work through it section by section. There is plenty of time to talk, take breaks, and make the painting your own.
What should you wear?
Wear something comfortable. Acrylic paint can stain, so do not choose the one outfit you would be devastated to ruin.
Do you take the painting home?
Yes. That is part of the fun—you leave with a finished piece and a reminder of the night.
That is exactly who Painting Hangout is designed for. Pick a class, bring your drink, and we will guide the rest.
Open Classes must be booked at least 24 hours before their start time.
