Booking & Cancellation Policy

Booking and confirmation

All sessions are approximately two hours. Open Classes are $39 per person; Private Studio events are $44 per person for 8–36 guests; Mobile events are $57 per person for 14 or more guests. A date is reserved only after payment is verified and the booking is confirmed.

Payment and deposits

You can pay in full or choose a 50% deposit. For Open Classes, the remaining class balance is automatically charged at 9 AM New York time on your class date. For Private and Mobile events booked eight or more days ahead, the balance is automatically charged seven days before the event. For bookings made exactly seven days ahead, the balance charges one day before the event. Checkout shows the exact amount and date and asks for your authorization. Optional gratuity is paid at checkout.

Getting ready for class

All ages are welcome. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent. Food and drinks are permitted; the studio is BYOB-friendly. Alcohol is for guests of legal drinking age. We recommend arriving 10 minutes before your class starts. There are no refunds for lateness.

Booking deadlines

Open Classes close to new bookings 24 hours before the session. Private and Mobile events require at least seven days’ notice. All availability and payment times use New York time.

Minimum Open Class attendance

Open Classes require at least four booked guests in total. If fewer than four are booked 24 hours before class, the class is cancelled, guests are notified by email, and website payments—including gratuity—are refunded in full.

Open Class cancellations

Cancel at least 24 hours before your scheduled class start to qualify for a refund. Cancellations less than 24 hours before the start are not eligible for a refund. There are no refunds for lateness.

Changes and Private or Mobile cancellations

Contact contact@paintinghangout.com or (646) 590-6504 with your booking reference, name and event date. A message alone does not cancel a reservation. Private and Mobile customer-cancellation deposits are non-refundable. More than seven days before the event, class payments beyond the deposit are refundable; within seven days, class payments are non-refundable. For Private and Mobile cancellations exactly seven days before the event, or questions about optional gratuity, contact the studio before paying.

If Painting Hangout cancels an event due to weather or an emergency, you may choose a full refund or rescheduling.
